Every other discovery engine buries you in infinite scroll and serves up the same ten bestsellers — the ones you already finished — while the genuinely good, genuinely dark, genuinely well-written serials rot ten pages deep. Popularity compounds. The big titles get bigger because they're big, and the algorithm is happy to keep showing you what you've already read.

The System was built for a different reader: Crawlers past the midnight hour. Grown-ups who want adult progression fantasy and LitRPG without the chosen-one teenagers, who have read enough to be picky, and who do not have all night to dig for the good stuff.

So this is curated by hand. A real person reads, judges, and decides what earns a slot — sharp prose, heavy themes, the dark corners, the books that don't come up in polite company. Not everything makes the cut, and that's the entire point. Volume is the enemy. You came for good books, not an algorithm's leftovers.
